     I remember the days when hippies had vans like this. A friend of my parents had one, and he made his own bumper stickers and stuck them on, sayings like “insured by Mafia mutual” and he hand painted it and it had an “ah OOGA” funny air horn. They were good on gas, and were reliable I think, but they really stood for the people who drove them who were trying to be free minded, or at least non traditional.
