It rained last night, and the streets were wet when I peeked out the front window curtains before dawn arrived.
Today the sides of the valley are wearing scarves of cloud, and I can see snow is now visible up there.
Snow shovels are poised for action but first I have more leaves to rake outside, but soon that chore will be done for 2019.
A doe and her twins has been visiting regularly, in both the front and back yard, nibbling on the soft grasses and the bright cactus my son planted.
I hope they have a dry spot somewhere to lie down today. Such placid calm visitors, they saunter the neighbourhood, sampling as they go.
(I didn’t get a picture of the deer today, so I used ones from earlier this year)
They are adorable. 🙂

Great pictures, they seem as if they are tame, certainly not afraid of civilisation. The wild areas must be bare or else are dangerous (contain wolfs?) and they seek safety in your garden.

Bear in town are infrequent and can be shot if close to schools. Coyotes are around, skunks, etc but cougars stay out. My friend has a picture of a bobcat in his yard.

Love the deer. We have visitors here in Northern California also. My dog Annie and I encounter our Fox friend from time to time on our early morning walks. Take care and thank you for following my blog.

It would nice to see a fox. I have seen only one at Apex mountain, gorgeous fur and quick.

Yes, they are quick. We saw one on our deck one morning, he was gone in a flash.

Deer in Alaska plentiful in Kodiak, Juneau, not many in South Central; Kenai, Homer, Anchor Point, where I live, but we do get visited by Moose in our pasture, one night the dogs were raising hell, & I stupidly went outside without a flash-light, or a Gun, and when I got down to the mailboxes, I vaguely saw this Giant Shape & Thought “Shit, a Brown bear, I am a dead man.” But it was a Giant Bull Moose, who chose to ignore me, thank God! To those Moose a 52″ fence is nothing, over they go……It is fun to be able to live here!!!!

Wow, that black shape in the dark like that must have been terrifying! My uncle ken lives in a remote town in Saskatchewan and he also has moose in his property, and they just do whatever they want.
I was just thinking of you this morning as I looked out my front window, and sending you in my thoughts a good vibe. I hope that as you look out today and see wind rippling a tree or bush that you enjoy a special sense of peace. It never ceases to amaze me the beauty of creation, the wonderful feel of wind, and I am glad to be alive every day, especially when enjoying nature or hugging my family. Hope your day is special today.

Hey! Brother, quick response tells me you are alert, thank you for thinking of me! I got the good vibes, My neighbors had me up^ to their house for a wonderful dinner, met new neighbors, played my drums for them, lit myself up^ like a Christmas Tree, had a wonderful time, went through 5 bottles of wine I brought with me……Every one went home happy, sated, with left-overs……My neighbor drove me home, unloaded the drums back into my home, wished me well, Who could ask for anything More? My day was indeed Special! Give YOUR FAMILY extra HUGS from Me!

hey!Mr. dfolstad58, I am still sitting here on my little lap-top writing I don’t know a thousand words a minute, on here a minute is a flash, the past disappearing just like a snap of the finger, the future not yet here, so Now is where I am at, it is all in time, and time waits for no man, make haste on thy journey man……I have designed my life around simplicity, so all I have to do now is haul in the wood, toss another log on the fire, take out the slops bucket once a week, other than that & paying the Electric Bill, the phone bill, I am a Free Man, I can afford to sit here and spout out word after word, I even bought a backup^ computer in case this one decide’s not to work for me anymore…….~~~~~So, I will continue to Shame the rich for hoarding all those billions for themselves, while we have homeless people walking the street, teachers & children taking to the streets in protest of low wages, children pleading for us to gift them a Future! ~~~~~ The House of Mankind is built on the foundation of treating all men, women & children as Equals, once we can do that everything will fall into place, the puzzle of life will be solved!
