Thank you for stopping by and investigating my post today. I wasn’t sure what I had to share with you today, and even as I post this, I am hesitant about the Random Thoughts. My equilibrium today is definitely all over the map. ♥
Beginnin’ to think that I’m wastin’ time
I don’t understand the things I do
The world outside looks so unkind
Now I’m countin’ on you to carry me through
Oh, give me the beat, boys, and free my soul
I wanna get lost in your rock ‘n’ roll and drift away
Hey, give me the beat, boys, and free my soul
I wanna get lost in your rock ‘n’ roll and drift away

Dogs Versus Cats
When I was a tyke, my parents gave me a puppy. Tiger was a wonderful companion and I have wonderful memories of him and his quirks.
Later my parents had cats and they were named Rusty and Tawny, and I enjoyed them tremendously but definitely a different experience from being a dog owner.
My comment regarding memories of Dogs vs. Cats is :
Dogs are our Best Friends, as opposed to Cats whom consider their owners as staff.

Word Of The Day (WOD) – Taciturn
Definition: reserved or uncommunicative in speech; saying little.
Synonyms: reserved, reticent, secretive, and silent.
My Baba had a wall plaque of a fish on her hallway wall.
The fish had a hook in its mouth and below it read: Even a fish wouldn’t get in trouble; if it kept it’s mouth shut.
That’s my inspiration for today’s W. O. D. 🙂

The Challenge
What is the most important use of my time?
I believe that, and I presume you do also, that relationships are the top priority in all of our lives.
The challenge is not to waste time. Yet, it is so easy to waste time, like loose change falling through a hole in our pockets. But that loose change, that lost time is not replaceable.
I believe the challenge is to take the knowledge we have in our minds about the importance of relationships, and then translating that into action.
Actions I now have a larger appreciation of include; hikes, walks, board games, bike rides and sitting around a table outside together with family.
Thankfully my life is blessed with people and actions.

Hello David, I hope you’re doing well in these strange times. Here in Ontario we’re in another lockdown to bring down Covid numbers, including the variant.
I do read your posts even if I don’t often reply. You have some amazing photos and share positive thoughts. I like that about the loose change being like time, that you never get it back. You have an even tone of writing that’s easy to read and relate to.
Be careful about quoting current lyrics to music or poetry. Better to link to a Youtube video with the title and author. Otherwise well done. Keep writing and sharing.

You could be a toastmaster with such a helpful evaluation! I appreciate your feedback and I will utilize it. In this case I just wanted a few lyrics but I can add a link to the youtube. I hope that you have had your vaccine shot, be well – and thank you for reading! – David

It is always a challenge to not waste time. Relationships are what makes us humans tick. My son and I have a mutual hobby of board games although the ones we play are complicated Euro Games, but I have really enjoyed them as it works my aging mind and we have great fun together. I have had both dogs and cats and I will say that I am lucky in the fact that all of the cats I have had followed me around, wanted to be with me when I was not feeling well and were my friends. My dogs were the same even if they did require more work. Drifting away was a favorite song of mine, thanks for that. Beautiful pics, you certainly have alot to smile about.

I can relate to your comment, thank you. My daughter has instigated so many board games and laughs (often at my expense! LOL). I think it is cool that your son has that connection with you via board games. My son and I did some puzzles together a few months back and I enjoyed also. I think that I live in a special spot, one of only two cities in the world plunked down between two lakes. Please visit again and write, nice to know you better♥

You made me chuckle, thank you. Maybe the difference is that cats strut, while dog’s have those amazing happy tales.

Hi David,
I always love your pictures! Enjoy your family and the beautiful nature you have around you!
My mom says that dogs love the owners, but cats couldn’t care less about the owners, they love the house.
Many blessings to you! ♥♥

Relationships and actions, dogs and cats. You’ve got a lot on your mind, and that’s not a bad thing. They all matter very much, and it seems to me you know your priorities 🙂
