Not that I have lots of experience at losing weight, but I think blogging is like losing weight.
The temptation when you are dieting is to check the weigh scales too often, then you berate yourself because you haven’t lost 5 pounds in the last 24 hours.
A watched pot won’t boil? The same also with losing weight, do the right things, eat according to a plan, keep a record of what you eat (apparently this makes a huge difference to achieving success) and weigh yourself regularly (once a week, not hourly).
So what does weight loss have to do with blogging. I have a confession. I look at my daily stats……daily. I am happy when I have lots of hits in one day, and less so on those days when there are fewer. Is it a writer thing? I guess people reading, sharing and following my blog is a type of affirmation, and it gives me a kick.
I need to be like the dieter, and enjoy my writing regardless of stats, and comments. I know that many people do enjoy my posts because they tell me to my face, but don’t leave a comment.
Thanks for reading!
Oy vey, it’s a weakness but everyone has their kryptonite.
I found the best thing in dieting is to look at the scale once a week. But I confess pthat I check my stats daily. We are writers, we long for people to read what we wrote.

Thanks Bob, I am going to gym regularly also, and feeling well. I had a period of absence and realized that writing was important to me, and I needed to be disciplined so now I try not to let more than one day go without writing something. Do you also watch the youtube links?

yes it’s true but we are not like the Netherlands, in Canada we don’t respect bikes but I hope we can improve. I also wonder why Canada is opposed to car alternatives, like scooters and segways?
