Beach Cruise – Part TWO

After I wrote my post “Tourist Town” I decided to act as your roving reporter and take some pictures on your behalf. Click on the images to enlarge ! 🙂

It was a wonderful weekend for the Beach Cruise event, more than 700 cars, paint jobs like works of art, these car owners lavish attention on their vehicles and it shows.

I could not take pictures of all the cars, and honestly I did not see all of them either but I was gobsmacked by some of them and hope you like my images.

I also added some other pictures of the lakeside etc and trust you will be tempted to contemplate visiting next week and doing your own stroll and seaside rendezvous with all these rolling works of art.

Elvis Presley events on during the weekend also and it was kind of funny as Saturday night we could hear Elvis music along the lakeshore from the concert at the hotel.  My very first record was an Elvis record, many moons ago.  Elvis still rocks the house in the Okanagan.

Reblogged this on Life and Random Thinking and commented:

This post is from June 2014. You didn’t know me then. This post was telling about some of the annual events in my little city.

Beach cruise weekend with kinds of restored North American cars is combined with Elvis (Presley) Fest. Elvis impersonator competition includes a Elvis gospel performance Sunday morning.

It’s a 50’s weekend feel to it. This year all cancelled because of “you know” but the cars are beautiful.
I think you will love checking out the lovingly restored cars.

    Thanks for coming by !🌻-David
