I know history is repeating itself but it is not my fault, it’s the calendar. This is the time of the year where pumpkins are carved, and people dress up in costume.
This is not my favorite time of the year. Not at all. I do not like the celebration of blood and gore, Yuck. Still I admit there is entertainment value, as long as you don’t take it too far, that is when it is not cute, and not funny.
An album that I have had for a very long time (google album if you are young) was called (click here to look it up) Monster Mash by Bobby (Boris) Pickett and the Crypt kicker five. It was a full album of some music all along this theme of Frankenstein, Dracula and so on. But it was all tongue in cheek. I listened to that song Monster Mash that it can pop to mind anytime and I’ll mimic the song but at this time of year tradition demands we listen and sing along again!
I am sure I have blogged this before but not this video. This is 1964, October – and Dick Clark is hosting Bobby for his hit, which is timeless in my opinion. Another really cute tongue and cheek song I loved was called Monster’s Holiday – A night before christmas Boris style – click here!
