Funny thing but on television or in movies I notice that ALL the cars are all shiny, clean, polished even.

makes me think of Beach Boys music
In real life my car looks either dusty or dirty seconds after I wash it, and never as clean and shiny as the cars in the car show like the one in the picture I took (above).
I think people try to be like those cars on tv, they project this shiny, polished exterior. I think nearly all of us aren’t like that car, always clean, neat and looking perfect. I know my jeans have patches, and some of my patches have patches! Lol
When we cling to and project the “perfect” image, I think it’s like those people who hold up their hand – “tell it to the hand“, and it keeps others at a distance.
In my life I don’t blurt out to anyone what is going on, but neither am I afraid of being vulnerable either.
I am not gloomy, cynical either, I am always able to find things to be grateful without pretending my life is perfect.
My “ugly” stuff is probably no worse than anybody else’s. It is part of life for me and that perfect life is for movie scripts, it doesn’t exist anywhere else.
Real life and dealing with it is ugly but it’s my ugly and it could be worse. I have a half fixed fence outside that I am going to fix over the next couple days, I’m half way there!
I definitely need to lose some weight, get more exercise but I also have people who make me feel good, and I had a hug and kiss from my wife when I woke up. oh yeah!
My life ain’t tv pretty, but I am glad I can embrace it, cause it’s my ugly and I am grateful to have it, very grateful and I hope you can count your blessings also!
Thanks for reading and commenting; I will be happy to reply to your comments and suggestions. You could inspire my next post!
I have an ugly backyard and I’m outside working with what I have (no money to buy) to turn it into ‘less’ ugly. 🙂

Hi. Good article. None of us are perfect. But most of us are doing the best we can.
By the way, I know what you mean about how someone might inspire you to write a blog post. My latest story was inspired by a fellow blogger.
Take care —

My life ain’t pinterest perfect, and I think I’d bore myself to tears if it were. My scars tell my story, and my imperfections are interesting. Glad you’re embracing yours too😙

So I take it your not a Martha Stewart fan, huh? LOL. Me neither. Life is too short and there are so many interesting things to take in, who wants to freak out if everything isn’t perfect! My property looks like a train wreck but it’s better than it was when we bought it. There is just a little too much of it, so it takes time. The birds and deer and rabbits love it so there’s that too.
I love your attitude. Hope you are doing well.

My tenuous health really helps keep perspective on life. I am happy in the casual comfort of my home. It is clean but not sterile and Even doing dishes I am happy here.
