Just Breathe,

My front yard cactus have flowers !

I went to my front yard this morning and the cactus are flowering,  and it reminded me of good advice.

Cactus are a hardy plant, and live in sometimes the worst conditions but they hang in there and manage to blossom. They just breathe and wait for better conditions.

I went to the wound clinic this morning, everything is improving on that front, and the young lady had a tattoo on her arm that reminded me of good advice.

My wound techie probably sees horrific wounds and has to deal with the healing process with someone over time and only seeing healing gradually.  They know patients must Just breathe and let the process go forward albeit how slowly.

A few weeks ago, I had minor procedure in the doctor’s office (I will spare you the details) and it was brief and I was reminded of some good advice under those circumstances.

When I was going through the office procedure I needed to stay calm as the discomfort was minor, I just needed to avoid being tense, and just breathe.

Today at the hospital renal clinic, I recalled a beautiful family trip and when I saw the coliseum and the Sistine Chapel – that same advice was applicable.

When I was on holiday, I was stunned to find myself in such beautiful and historic surroundings. I had to stop and just breathe, just breathe and soak in the memory. Just Breathe and be in the moment.

Under the worst and under the best situations, remember to just breathe.  That’s it, just remember to breathe.

Okanagan Lake at the North end of town, a peaceful morning.

Never stop,  under the worst, or the best situations.  Just breathe – Just breathe. It always is good advice.

Just breathe.

Just breathe.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you liked this post. All feedback is welcome. – Dave

I especially appreciate your encouraging comment. I haven’t had too much of a response to this post so I wondered if the response was flat or I failed to communicate my message. I am glad you liked it.

Great advice! Life gets hectic and this is a function that comes naturally with practice it can benefit a busy or relaxing day. I am getting ready to travel from Chicago to Vancouver for Irish dancing national championships. Travel plus a big competition will have stressful moments. Add to that the fact that my husband and four sons are traveling to Vancouver a few days after the girls and I travel. Breathe. Thanks for the reminder!

Thank you for your kind message of confirmation. It is easy, but we need to remind ourselves to receive the benefits. Regardless of whether it is travel stress, or slowing down to soak up a sunset. Just Breathe 🌻

  3. I’ve been away from my reader for some time Dave. Glad to see you posting and this one is a good one. Having those memories to return to, the presence of mind to breathe in and out, those are so helpful when we are stressed, in pain or discomfort. I am glad you found yourself back in the chapel. What a wonderful place to retreat to when you need a “breather.” Best wishes as always!
