On our bike ride the other day,
we came across a snake enjoying some spring sunshine. Plus the first cherry tree buds. – Captions on all three to read.

A few days ago
I felt I could walk and chew gum at the same time, but now my confidence has been shaken , I will explain.
You may recall that recently I posted a youtube of the cup song, It’s a cool video, nice music and lyrics.
I’ll think of you
As I go
So when I leave
You’re not alone
And no matter where we are
We will never be that far
Cause I’ll think of you as i go
The neat deal is that this group all sing and do the clapping together in one continuous take.
I decided to try to do the same, slightly different for me as I am doing it solo so I clap onto a table. Fortunately there are tutorials online to learn the cup part and you can print out the lyrics.
I am getting better at doing the clapping part, but so far when I try to sing along I get mixed up on the clap and tapping routine part. It could be awhile before I can do both at the same time, but I am not giving up. But I know my readers can do better.
Anyone else up for the challenge? = David

Quote; Mahatma Gandhi
You must not lose faith in humanity.
Humanity is an ocean;
If a few drops of the ocean are dirty,
the ocean does not become dirty

Some country music is irresistible, because it tugs at our heart strings, Feed Jake is one of those songs.
I’m standin’ at the crossroads in life
And i don’t know where to go
You know you’ve got my heart, babe
But my music’s got my soul
Let me play it one more time
Tell the truth and make it right
And hope they understand me
Now i lay me down to sleep
And pray the Lord my soul to keep
If i die before i wake, feed Jake
He’s been a good dog
My best friend right through it all
If i die before i wake, feed Jake
I like Gandhi, but I admit I’m struggling with humanity

He was harmless except to tiny creatures. We have rattlesnakes also but just a fraction of the old days. 👍

Gah! Feed Jake! I’d forgotten about that one. Gets me every time.
That’s a lovely large snake ❤ I adore them. I'm trying to entice them into my garden to eat all the slugs, heheh.

I have seen cup songs but that’s a whole new version. Loved it. You should upload a video of you singing. I would have tried but I really can’t get the accent right while singing the English songs. My sister sings them well. I am used to singing Indian songs since childhood.
The approach you guys have to snake awes me. I’ve heard that people there keep snakes as pets. That’s scary. Here, people see snakes and run! Besides we worship them, so the fear is of two types. Fear for the reptile with fangs and all and fear out of devotion.

Hi Ranjini my friend. So far I can sing or do the cup song but not both at the same time. Chuckle.
Yes, some people have snakes as pets but it’s rare in my opinion. We respect and stay clear of poisonous snakes like most people. Some snakes are healthy and not dangerous but I am chicken and haven’t picked up one of those since I was little.
Rattlesnakes are around but not like the old days so don’t worry and I m careful of those when I see one.
Thank you for your comment.

I love the Ghandi quote. And the Feed Jake song. It looks like it was a beautiful day. Snakes do not bother me a bit but spiders now that’s another story.
