Three Little Random Thoughts #11 – Morning; Natural; Hooked

Thanks for reading and visiting #11 in this category.

My three thoughts today I hope you will relate to, and comment on.

I am living through a heat wave along with 90% of British Columbia and Alberta. We are used to heat in the summer, but not like we are having now.

There could be some readers out there that don’t know Penticton is on the edge of a desert, we have rattlesnakes and scorpions here.

Instead of the normal June weather of 30ish Celsius, today is 41 C. Since this is only June (albeit late June) there is a sense of foreboding in many people’s hearts as the hot weather is usually in July and August.

We don’t want to have forest fires or see animals suffering. Speaking of animals, four cute newborn fawns are new arrivals to the neighborhood. No photos yet, but I will keep my eyes peeled for you and hope I can get a nice photo. – David

First Random Thought

It’s been so hot that I have been getting up at 5:30 a.m. to head out for my morning rides, hence the theme MORNING. If you click on the pictures then you can see them better. 🙂

My second random thought

is one I just read on another post: She shared how she was encouraged to LIVE NATURAL instead of LIVE NORMAL. Here is the link to the blog that inspired this thought.

I liked that thought and though it was one worth chewing over, and thought you might also.

It makes me think about my post about the Life’s Top Five Regrets – I was surprised that I wrote that back in 2012.

The No. 1 Regret is ” I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me. ” Click here to read the other four regrets

My third Random Thought is HOOKED. It can be love, music, chocolate, Netflix or even cookies.

What are you HOOKED on?

Below are song lyrics !

Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga

I can’t stop this feeling
Deep inside of me
Girl, you just don’t realize
What you do to me

When you hold me
In your arms so tight
You let me know
Everything’s alright

I’m hooked on a feeling
I’m high on believing
That you’re in love with me

  • Hooked On a Feeling – Blue Swede

This song “Hooked On A Feeling” was a song hit back in 1974. I think it has been used a few times since then in some movies. The beginning is sort of unique. You can see it here from 1974 on Youtube !

I remember the 70’s music and it’s my favourite era.

Careful though if you are not familiar with 1970’s music – you can get Hooked.

Thanks again for visiting, I really appreciate it. ♥ David

Hi Darlene, crazy isn’t it ! I liked BJ Thomas also and I looked him up since you said he just passed away. He had a long career. I always associate him with Raindrops Keep Falling On my Head. Thanks for visiting. Stay well please.

  6. We survived the heat down here, thanks to cold wet clothes and a portable A/C. It’s terrible that so many people have died from the heat, though. And the lack of ambulances’ timely response, through no fault of their own, is kind of terrifying.

I love that song. The 60’s and 70’s had great music. After that, the less said the better. I was in a store this week and what they were playing as background music could only be considered torture. I guess I am showing my age. Hooked on chocolate, purple, and reading.
