My last dialysis ?

Two years ago today I was at Penticton Hospital, having what I thought would be my last hemodialysis treatment. I was excited and confident, in 48 hours I was going to get my long awaited new kidney transplant !

It turned out that to be extra cautious I did another two hours hooked up for dialysis the night before the surgery in Vancouver Hospital, but my buzz of excitement wasn’t lessened at all.

Hi Wayne – I haven’t thought of that album since the mid 70’s – ELP fan too! You might like this story. Alice Cooper was just in Penticton and now he is 74. I didn’t go to see him as I saw him in 1975 and it was memorable enough. He was doing his Welcome To My Nightmare album tour and in his opening song, he fell from the top of a prop all the way to the concrete and broke a rib. He left the stage but returned about an hour later – all taped up. What a Trooper, and coincidentally that was the band who opened the concert (Trooper) and who took the stage while AC got taped up. I never did see ELP in person but have seen some live concerts in those years, classical guitar at the Orpheum and Three Dog Night amongst a couple others. Nothing like a live event and that’s why I live live baseball and football. You see it all, the game, the audience and no commercials. – as always I send you well wishes ! – David
